On-line planning information
What information is available?
Under the On Line Planning Application Information system you are able to view details including associated plans and documents of all applications received from 1st January 2004 and of current planning applications being considered by the Council. In due course all the applications from 2004 will be able to be viewed in a similar manner. You can monitor the progress of an application, submit comments about the application, search a constantly updated database of applications received and decided each week, and view related Committee Reports and associated Committee Minutes.
Some information relating to Building Regulation submissions submitted since 2000 is also included regarding address, description, if approved and if completed.
Also available is On Line Property Information detailing those planning constraints affecting various properties. (e.g. properties within designated Conservation Areas and any additional controls that apply)
On Line Tree Preservation Orders gives details as to protected trees and links to the associated documents.
On Line Listed Building Information provides details of the listing and related description.
On Line Enforcement Information provides details of unauthorised development or uses and the associated action taken. (from 1948 onwards for all streets except those beginning with W - these will be available by the end of March 2009)
On Line Planning Agreements provides details of Section 106 Obligations and associated planning agreements relating to areas within Ipswich. (from 1948 onwards for all streets except those beginning with W - these will be available by the end of March 2009)
On line Historic Planning Agreement information details cover legal obligations from 1934 to 1973.
On Line Planning Conditions is a password protected consultation screen providing information relating to development progress and related planning conditions. (from 2002 onwards)
Limitations
This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The service continues to be developed, and details will be provided as to progress.
Warning:
Under normal circumstances the plans and documents associated with new planning applications will be able to be viewed within 5 working days of receipt of the application. Sometimes the system is being worked upon and documents cannot be viewed, in which case you may wish to try a few days later.
For current planning applications, documentations will normally be published within 3 days of receipt.
Hard copies can be viewed at ONE-IPSWICH CUSTOMER SERVICES CENTRE, TOWN HALL, CORNHILL IP1 1BZ during office hours. (The Centre is normally open from 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday (except Wednesday which is 10.00am - 5.30pm and Saturday which is 9.30am - 12.30pm)) or by visiting the Council's website www.ipswich.gov.uk.
